ladies on the court. Located at the Veterans Memorial Park
Amphitheater.
And the 2010 Queen is...
Amber Suttorp-Sund Crowned
It is with great pleasure for the National Baby
Food Festival to announce this year's queen, Amber
Suttorp-Sund.
 Amber is the daughter of Jerry
Sund & Jennie Suttorp-Sund of Fremont. Amber
currently attends Michigan State University and will be a sophomore
in the fall pursuing her passion for a career in
Dentistry. During her freshman year at MSU Amber played
intramural soccer and is involved in Campus Crusaders for
Christ. Just a few weeks ago Amber had the opportunity to
travel to Kansas City, Kansas with her church, Reeman Christian
Reformed doing missionary work with underprivileged children,
demolished a home for a family and worked in the community
gardens. In her spare time, Amber likes to play her
cello, church activities and going for walks & laying out at
the beach.
Amber was most looking forward to helping with Special Kids Day
that is held every year at festival. Little did she know
that she would be playing a key role throughout festival being on
Queen's Court. Duties of the court ranged from chasing
frogs, eating baby food, and even wearing an oversized diaper
during Corporate Olympics.
"I'm honored to be crowned queen because it's been such a
blessing to have the privilege to serve the community. I
hope to remain an active volunteer in the community, and a positive
role model for others" say Amber.
Through Queen's Court Amber had the opportunity to see and
experience first hand all of the hard work that goes into making
the festival run so smoothly! The festival volunteers,
sponsors, Queen's Court and the Chamber of Commerce put in
countless hours to make the festival a
success.
Amber said she would not trade her experience with the festival
for the world!!
"I feel honored to be part of the 2010 Queen's court and would
encourage any teenage girl in Newaygo County to
apply."
The 2010 Queen's Court consisted of Justine Wiggers
1st Runner Up, Makenzie Hall and Queen Amber
Suttorp-Sund.
Watch for the 2011 National Baby Food Festival as it will be
held on July 20th through July 23rd.
